Dr. Sergio Martinez, Orthopedic Surgeon, Joins Florida Sports Injury & Orthopedic Institute

Florida Sports Injury & Orthopedic Institute and Dr. Amit Varma are pleased to announce that Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Sergio Martinez, has joined our group effective June 13, 2016.

Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Martinez specializes in Anterior Approach Total Hip Replacement and Total Joint, Knee Replacement surgeries. He will be treating patients of all ages with services including: Trauma, Fracture care, Knee pain, Hip pain and general orthopedics. Dr. Martinez is a long-time Florida resident and has been providing families convenient, compassionate healthcare here since 2009. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathy degree from Philadelphia Collage of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Broward Health Medical Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in Orthopedic Surgery.

The current weather forecast indicates that Hurricane Erika will be over South Florida in the early hours of Monday morning. At this time Florida Sports Injury and Orthopedic Institute has not made a decision as to whether we will close on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. 2013 Saturday Morning Sports Injury Clinic Comes To A Close. What A Great Year It Was!!!

Florida Sports Injury and Orthopedic Institute would like to thank Dr. Amit Varma and Dr. Brian Patterson for bringing this years “Saturday Morning Walk in Sports Injury Clinic” to a successful close. Dr. Varma and Dr. Patterson are personal team physicians for South Sumter High School, Leesburg High school, Wildwood High school, and Southlake High school.

Dr. Amit Varma, principal orthopedic surgeon at Florida Sports Injury and Orthopedic Institute, is proud to announce the commencement of Saturday morning Sports Injury Clinics for the 2013 football season. There is nothing quite like watching a well-trained, injury-free athlete out of the field. With all the fun and excitement that sporting events bring to us, unfortunately, the reality is that sports injuries do occur. It's Dr. Varma's goal to make each athlete a priority, thus we have created Saturday morning Sports Injury Clinics as an express priority option for athletes in the area.

Florida Sports Injury Joins the "STOP Sports Injuries" Campaign

Today, leaders at Florida Sports Injury are coming together with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, National Athletic Trainers’ Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association and Safe Kids USA to promote the STOP Sports Injuries campaign.
